In July 2025, a client from Yemen visited Kaifeng Shengda Water Meter Co., Ltd. as part of a large municipal tender project requiring over 76,000 mechanical water meters. This visit was not only an important milestone for our team, but also a reaffirmation of Shengda’s reputation in the global water metering industry.

The project involves the supply of high-accuracy R160 water meters, mainly for domestic residential use across several cities in Yemen. With an urgent need to replace old or malfunctioning meters, the local government prioritized suppliers with strong production capacity, international experience, and competitive pricing.

At our factory, the client inspected every part of the production process — from the incoming materials to assembly lines, quality control systems, pressure testing, and final packaging. The client expressed satisfaction with our ISO-certified manufacturing standards and was particularly impressed by the multi jet water meter production line, known for its efficiency and consistency.

The R160 mechanical water meter was selected for its excellent performance in harsh environments, high reading accuracy even under low flow, and long-term durability — all critical factors in the Yemeni context where water scarcity and infrastructure challenges persist.
